A big part of the misconception around nanny cam is that they are set up because parents don’t trust the nannys. However many of the times the parents miss their children and want to know what they are up to and in reality aren’t constantly checking waiting for the nanny to mess up. Parents just miss their kids and want to still be apart of watching them grow up and have new experiences.

So when it comes to having nanny cam with nannys the most important more is to be honest tell the nanny you have cameras. Then reassure them its not to watch them but their kids. It’s important to be open that it’s about watching your children because you don’t think they can but because they don’t want to miss out on any special moments when they are away.  A clear open conversation will put all nerves to rest.

Though there is a negative connotation around nanny cam and many child worker might believe they set up so they can get caught doing something wrong. We believe that it’s quite the opposite and there are actually many great reasons why a nanny cam could be beneficial.

1.  Parents no longer having to miss some of the those first big moments. When utilizing a nanny cam a parent can easily tune in and watch a child learn to crawl, stand and walk.
2. The kids missing the parents a little extra that day direct them to the camera and tell them to blow mom and dad a kiss or say hi.
3. Maybe the kids created a dance or a play and the parents feel like they are missing out have them give a live performance to the parents while they are on break at work
4. They aren’t just useful for the parent either maybe the nanny is in the kitchen with the kids and heard a big crash in the other room and walks in to find a broken picture frame on the ground. Rewind the video and see that the cat hopped on the table and knocked it over.
5. Finally they can help build trust and security between the nanny and the parents
